The agent was finally taken off the Rockstar website more than a decade after the PS3 was announced

Ah, agent. First teased as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in 2007, Agent was designed to be a really big deal – a new property from developer of Grand Theft Auto Rockstar, set during the Cold War in the 1970s. was a project that had seriously excited people for years – especially when it was officially revealed in 2009 – but it was never released. For reasons that are still a bit unclear to this day, Agent was internally deleted a few years after its announcement, and Rockstar made the switch to the inevitable Grand Theft Auto V.

Anyway, the agent has ultimately has been removed from the Rockstar website, where it has been listed in the company’s “Games” section for over a decade. The end of an era, you might say, but its removal is not a huge surprise since the Agent brand was discontinued in 2018. Maybe Rockstar just remembered removing it.

This brand had been renewed several times over the past decade, which almost always led to fragile speculation about a possible rebirth of the agent – but that obviously never happened.
