Samsung Galaxy Unpacked date leaks again – per company’s Russian website

We’re getting closer to August, which means Samsung Galaxy Unpacked (Add-on Edition) is on its way, and the date has just been leaked via a Twitter tipster. So set your calendars for August 11, when we’re all set to see the next wave of foldables from the Korean tech giant.

Known leak Evan blass shared an image of what looks like to Samsung’s Russian website, sharing the Galaxy Unpacked date and time for August, where we expect to see this year’s foldables launch. If the screenshot is legitimate, expect to see the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 debut on Wednesday, August 11, with the event kicking off at 5:00 p.m. KST. Moscow, which translates to 7:00 a.m. PST / 10:00 a.m. EDT / 3:00 p.m. BST.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a leak from Samsung’s Russian arm that has proven to be correct; Last year, Samsung’s Russian official website shared images of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the previously unannounced Mystic Bronze colourway.

While the image explicitly doesn’t give any details other than that we’ll see the foldables, we can see the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 for the factor as well as the new colors for each model. Galaxy Z Fold 3 silhouette sports new olive green shade Blass sharing earlier this month, while the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is featured in the lilac shade which was also part of the Blass leak line.

The image doesn’t reveal much more than that, but if recent rumors are true, foldables will be cheaper than last year’s – a must for Samsung, now that rivals like Oppo and Xiaomi are joining in. to the melee of the foldables. With Xiaomi already on its heels in terms of global smartphone shipments, the company needs to start thinking competitively now that it has fixed the hardware issues.

The current product line that we expect to see next month, aside from the foldables, includes the Galaxy Watch 4 with the new One UI Watch operating system and the Galaxy Buds 2. We’ve already seen the revamped look of the Galaxy Buds. 2 thanks to a leak earlier this month, and learn a little more about the Watch OS which was designed in collaboration with Google. It looks like we won’t be seeing the Galaxy S21 FE – Samsung’s popular S-series fan edition. We got a Galaxy S20 FE last year, but fans could do without it this time around.

But as always, take it all with a pinch of salt. There is no official word yet, so for now it’s just leaks, rumors and speculation.
