Santa Ana, Calif. (August 30, 2021) – Today Orange County launched the APRA and CARES Transparency Law website for constituents.
The website includes information on spending related to the two laws, an overview of ARPA funding and the 2021 performance plan, and links to the US Treasury. ARPA information will be updated periodically as new information becomes available. The website also includes the final report on the county’s use of CARES Act funds.
Additionally, the county launched its annual strategic financial planning process on August 16, 2021. The 2021 strategic financial plan will be presented to the supervisory board on December 14, 2021. This year’s strategic financial planning process will include the county plan and Recommendations from the CEO on the use of the remaining and outstanding ARPA funds. Orange County received 50 percent of its federal allocation of $ 617 million on May 21, 2021 and will receive the remaining funds no earlier than 12 months from May 21, 2021.
