Hot inside, so hot in here! The first night of IHeartRadio Music Festival 2021 featuring everyone from Dua Lipa To J. Cole and even special guest FINNEAS. Held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the evening brought together other artists Cheap Tip, Walker Hayes, Darius Rucker, Weezer & nelly, who closed the show with special guests Florida Georgia Line.
The iconic rapper met Maxwell and Crystal Rosas from Z100 backstage, who was on hand to recap the night at the iHeartRadio music festival post-show featured by Expedia on iHeartRadio’s Twitter and Facebook accounts, and recalled his first pair of Nike Air Force 1s.
“I was actually drawn to my brothers’ Air Force 1s in Harlem,” recalls Nelly, known for the shoe, backstage. “When I was trying to get my recording contract…, ‘You get 1’s!'”
Some other highlights? Disco queen Dua Lipa was fueled by a dysfunction in her wardrobe after her bodysuit strap snapped midway through her opening performance while FINNEAS gained a whole new fan base with a perfect preview of his debut album. And we can’t forget the likes of Cheap Trick, Darius Rucker and Weezer making us dance on our feet again, feeling us back to life together after the pandemic. (Vaccinated and with masks, safe, of course.)
