FLYING Media Group acquires the aviation portfolio of Heartland Publishing

FLYING Media Group has announced that it has expanded its brand portfolio with the acquisition of Heartland Publishing’s aviation brands.

Heartland Publishing, a publisher of classified ads and buyer’s directories in business for more than 50 years, boasts more than a dozen aviation brands, including Business Air, Aviator’s Hotline, Aviator’s Properties, FBO and Charter Today, and

FLYING has earmarked millions of dollars for technology, platform and brand upgrades, focusing on reinventing the aviation market.

As part of the brand revamp, FLYING Media plans to create a new marketplace focused on digital content and a luxury print edition that will combine the editorial and media resources of FLYING with the aviation listings businesses of Business Air, Aviator’s Hotline and Aviator’s Real Estate.

“We believe there is a huge opportunity to disrupt the aviation listing digitization business and give aircraft dealers a content-based marketplace and tools to run more effective aircraft marketing campaigns. . We envision an unparalleled digital experience for dealers and future aircraft owners. Our plans will be to launch our new envisioned reseller marketplace in Q3 2022.” Preston Holland, COO of FLYING Media said.

Besides, FLYING announced plans to return to an expanded monthly print edition that will include a new section, FLYING Owner, which will focus on potential and current aircraft owners. This will also include a beautifully designed aircraft list registry.

Besides, FLYING plans to create a new B2B publication under the Business Air brand. This new publication will cover the operations and economics of companies serving the aviation sector, with a focus on the charter, FBO and business aviation verticals.

Plans are also underway to create a new digital aviation property listings site, covering both residential and commercial aviation property.

Heartland’s current aviation team will be part of the FLYING team. The new brands should be launched at the end of the summer.
