REPORTS

Aggression against the police, 2021-12160077, 2300 block 25th Street S. At approximately 10:04 am on December 16, police were dispatched to report a dispute between known individuals. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and attempted to speak to him, but he fled the scene. Soon after, officers again located the suspect who had failed to comply and actively resisted arrest. A brief scuffle ensued in which the suspect scratched the face of an officer and attempted to grab his gun. The suspect was taken into custody and before being placed in the transport vehicle, he spat on another officer. The investigation determined that the suspect allegedly assaulted the known victim. Orlando Quintanilla, 22, of Arlington, Va., Was arrested and charged with domestic assault and bodily harm, strangulation, attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer and assault and battery against the police (x2).

ASSAULT BY THE MOB, 2021-12160191, block 5200 of Yorktown Boulevard. At approximately 9:09 p.m. on December 16, an officer was alerted by a witness that an assault had just occurred. Officers located the underage victim and determined that he was exiting a building when he became involved in a verbal argument with a group of about eight to nine underage children. The victim entered a vehicle and the group continued to yell at him and hit the vehicle. The victim got out of the vehicle and confronted the group. At that time, several suspects assaulted him and damaged his cell phone. The suspects then fled on foot. The victim was treated by medics on site for injuries that were not life threatening. There is no description of the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
