The City of Livermore launched an updated, mobile-friendly municipal website on September 28 with enhanced functionality and an intuitive, user-friendly design. The clean, modern look of the city’s improved website provides visitors with an easier way to access information.
The City hired Granicus as the website host. Granicus offers a service-centric approach to website design. In addition to updating the main City website, the two sub-sites of the Livermore Public Library and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department have also been upgraded. The City’s website complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, a set of standards for website accessibility.
The information available on the site is up to date, accessible and easy to find. Some features of updated sites that visitors may appreciate:
- Icons on the home page representing the most visited pages, which can be updated as needed.
- A new, easy-to-use “Service Finder” that helps website users find information with simple search options including Apply, Contact, Find, Pay, Report, Request, Register.
- Report a problem quickly and easily – from a pothole to a sewer problem – with a few clicks and it’s routed to the correct division to be addressed.
- Easily learn about city advisory bodies, like the library board or town planning committee, and view current listings, vacancies, and upcoming meetings.
