Dario Robleto wins United States Artists honor

candid-with-record

By Wendy

We were excited to learn that Texas-based artist Dario Robleto is one of 50 U.S. artists who have won a prestigious United States Artists fellowship, which includes an unrestricted grant of $50,000. (Barkley L. Hendricks, another artist who is important to the Nasher Museum, won this honor last year.) Several of Dario’s beautiful sculptures and assemblages will be included in the Nasher Museum’s upcoming exhibition “The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl,” a group show involving more than 30 international artists from the 1960s to the present, opening in fall 2010. He gave the Barbra and Andrew Rothschild Lecture here last spring. Congratulations, Dario!
